Radiance DigestAid. HCI + Pepsin. Supports optimal digestion. Inadequate production of hydrochloric acid (HCl acid) in the stomach is relatively common in adults. Betaine hydrochloride helps increase acidity in the stomach, which helps support optimal digestion and nutrient assimilation. Pepsin is the primary enzyme in the stomach, used to assist protein digestion, by breaking proteins into smaller peptides for further digestion in the small intestine. Lack of stomach acidity can be the first stage in a state of ill health. The acid in the stomach must be of sufficient strength to break down food so it can be digested in the small intestine. Inadequate production of HCl acid is common. Betaine Hydrochloride (hydrochloric acid) helps acidify the stomach, which aids digestion. Pepsin is the primary enzyme in the stomach used to digest proteins. Pepsin breaks up proteins into smaller peptides for further digestion in the small intestine. Antacids are used regularly by many people. Unfortunately, in many cases these people have low stomach acidity causing problems ranging from heartburn and indigestion to allergies. If low stomach acid is the problem HCL with Pepsin will be helpful.

BENEFITS:

Increases the level of HCl acid in the stomach, for proper digestion. Symptoms of low stomach acid may be experienced as indigestion, gas, abdominal pain, a bloated feeling, belching, nausea and an allergic reactions to certain foods. INGREDIENTS:

Each Capsule contains: Betaine Hydrochloride 648mg and Pepsin 130mg. Gelatin Capsule, cellulose, magnesium stearate. No corn, egg, gluten, milk derivatives, nuts, salicylates, salt, soy, sugar, wheat, yeast, artificial preservatives, flavourings or colours.

DOSAGE:

Self Assessment Guide: Radiance DigestAid Optimal Dosage Test. Radiance Digestaid is the only product that should be used in this test which may be used to help determine the most appropriate dosage for your individual needs.

Sit down to a meal (the largest meal of the day is preferable) , after taking a few bites, take 1 Capsule with a minimum amount of water and proceed to finish the meal.

If you DO experience a warming sensation (under the breast bone) or any burning discomfort within 10-15 minutes of ingestion, then you are adequately producing HCI, so you DO NOT need this supplement. Drinking water or continuing to eat will eliminate any discomfort.

If you DO NOT experience any warming sensation or discomfort within 10-15 minutes of taking 1 Capsule of the HCI, you are most likely not producing HCI optimally and supplementation with DigestAid may be beneficial.

To determine your optimal per meal dosage, continue the procedures above, increasing your dosage by 1 Capsule PER MEAL until you DO experience warmth or burning.

When you experience these symptoms it indicates you have more HCI than is required. So for a meal of similar size you need to reduce the number of Capsules by 1. This will be your regular dosage requirement. (i.e. if you felt the warmth after taking 4 Capsules, your regular dosage requirement would be 3). Do not exceed 8-10 Capsules in any 1 meal.

Radiance DigestAid should be taken whenever food is eaten, the number of Capsules should be adjusted according to the meal size - larger meals take more, snacks take less. Note: Take only with food. Persons which have an active ulcer, or who are taking anti-acid medication should not take HCI supplements.

PRECAUTIONS:

Keep out of reach children. Do not exceed 8-10 Capsules in 1 meal. Take your dosage at intervals throughout the meal, not all at once. Do not take this product if you are on anti-inflammatory drugs, aspirin, corticosteroids or if you have a gastric ulcer. Should any discomfort occur at the start of a meal, drinking water should resolve the problem. Do not take on an empty stomach or with fruit only.
