Nature's Goodness Kefir Sachets. These 5 individual sachets will make 25 litres of Turkish Probiotic yoghurt - a source of beneficial bacteria and yeasts which help to maintain a healthy digestive system. These include Lactobacillus, Lactococcus, Leuconostoc and Saccharomyces kefir. Kefir is a fermented milk drink that originated in the Caucasian Mountains near Turkey, where it was used for centuries as a healthy drink. Making kefir is easy - you simply add the contents of 1 sachet into 1 litre of milk. You leave it for 24-36 hours at 20C or until Kefir starts to settle, then you place it in the fridge for 12 hours. The Kefir is ready to drink when it has a smooth consistence, similar to thin yoghurt. Each sachet contains 7.5 grams of kerif granules and there are 5 sachets in each box, which make a total of 25 litres.
