The herbs in this formula are:
St johns wort: This herb has a genuine mild anti-depressant medicinal action and a sedative or relaxing effect. Its action is gentle, yet very effective. It has been traditionally used for its effect on the nervous system. The combination of sedative activity and nervous system restorative properties make it an ideal herb for use in anxiety, irritability, neuralgia, nerve damage or injury, nervous tension, depression and general nervous system debility. Lemon Balm: Balm is a remedy for common female complaints and is useful for all sorts of nervous problems, including hysteria, melancholy and insomnia. It has been used to relieve cramps, dyspepsia, flatulence, colic, chronic bronchial catarrh, and some forms of asthma. Balm has also been used for migraine and toothache and during pregnancy for headaches and dizziness.
Licorice Root: Use as a calmative and for supporting the adrenal glands during times of stress. Also helps balance the hormones and helps with low blood sugar problem's Infusions of this herb have been used to loosen mucus, alleviating discharge in bronchitis, and as an adjuvant in treating spasmodic pains of chronic gastritis.
Chamomile: Chamomile is helpful as a digestive aid a relaxant. Provides support of peptic ulcers and inflammatory conditions of the gastrointestinal tract. This herb is especially good for mild sleep disorders in children. It relaxes the uterus. It may also help with inflammations and irritations of the respiratory tract The British Herbal Compendium lists chamomile internally for spasms or inflammatory conditions of the gastrointestinal tract, peptic ulcer, and mild sleep disorders, and its external use for inflammations and irritations of skin and mucosa in any part of the body and for eczema.
Passionflower: Traditionally this herb has been used for sleep disorders, restlessness, nervous stress, and anxiety. Other uses include neuralgia nervous tachycardia. The German Standard License for passionflower tea indicates its use for nervous restlessness, mild disorders of sleeplessness, and gastrointestinal disorders of nervous origin. Also for use in tenseness, restlessness, and irritability with difficulty in falling asleep.
Lavender: The Commission E approved the internal use of lavender for restlessness or insomnia and nervous stomach irritations, Roehmheld's syndrome, meteorism, and nervous intestinal discomfort. Other uses are for restlessness, sleeplessness, lack of appetite, nervous irritable stomach, and nervous disorders of the intestines. Lavender preparations are traditionally used to treat symptoms of neurotonic disorders, especially minor sleeplessness.

Babies: 5ml (1 teaspoon) 3 x daily
6-12 month: 10ml 3 x daily
1-4 years: 20-40ml 3 x daily
4-10 years: 50-100ml 3 x daily
Preparation
Take 1 level teaspoon (1g) per cup (150ml), place into infuser, plunger or china pot, pour over boiling water and leave to infuse for 5-10 minutes. Do not microwave.
Keep out of reach of children. Use as directed. If you are on prescription medicines (re: St. John's Wort) or if symptoms persist see your health professional.
