The herbs contained in Artemis Kidney Cleanse tea are:
Birch Leaves: They relieve fever and help to rid the body of excess salt and water. Its ability to increase the flow of urine helps to wash harmful bacteria out of the urinary tract.
Golden Rod: This herb has many uses. It can offer an anti-inflammatory action that targets the urinary system, it has been used in cystitis, urethritis and the like. It can also be used to promote the healing of wounds. Promotes urination, especially when this is scanty. A natural diuretic, it is one of the best and most effective stimulants of the kidneys and bladder.
Horsetail: Horsetail has been used as a mild diuretic for fluid retention, particularly for cases of swollen arthritic joints and relief of pre menstrual symptoms. Horsetail is also used for its diuretic and astringent properties, making it a useful treatment for cystitis, bladder and prostate problems, and kidney stones.
Nettle: The diuretic properties of nettles are well recognized, and several pharmaceutical preparations incorporating Nettles are marketed in Europe for this purpose. In addition, an extract of nettle root has become quite popular in recent years for the treatment of urinary retention brought on by benign prostate hypertrophy (BPH). Some clinical studies attests to its effectiveness, and German health authorities now allow it to be used for this condition. The German Commission E monograph indicates use of Nettles for secondary (not primary) treatment for rheumatic complaints and for irrigation (flushing) in cases of inflammation of the urinary tract and in prevention and treatment of kidney gravel, noting that abundant fluid intake must be assured.
Raspberry Leaves: These contain good amount of vitamins and minerals and can help relieve urinary ailments. All of these ingredients can be found in this tub of loose leaf tea.
