Solgar No Flush Niacin (inositol hexanicotinate) 500mg. This is inositol bound niacin. This special formulation of niacin does not produce flushing or the gastro intestinal discomfort which may be associated with niacin use. 50 Capsules

Inositol Hexanicotinate works in a similar way to Niacin, a member of the B complex family. Niacin assists enzymes in the breakdown and utilization of proteins, fats and carbohydrates. Niacin can be made in the body from protein (from the amino acid tryptophan). Niacin is an effective detoxifant. It is effective in improving circulation and reducing cholesterol level in the blood. People with peptic ulcers, liver disease, gouty arthritis or significant heart rhythm disturbances should take supplementary niacin only with the advice of a health care professional.

The symptoms of niacin deficiency are many. In the early stages, muscular weakness, general fatigue, loss of appetite, indigestion and various skin eruptions occur. A niacin deficiency may also cause bad breath, small ulcers, canker sores, insomnia, irritability, nausea, vomiting, recurring headaches, tender gums, burning mouth and tongue, strain, tension and deep depression. Severe deficiency results in pellagra, which is characterised by dermatitis, dementia, diarrhoea, rough and inflamed skin, tremors and nervous disorders such as depression.

Each vegetarian Capsule provides: Inositol Hexanicotinate 500mg, providing Niacin (Vitamin B3) 422 mg, Inositol 78mg. Vegetable Capsule shell (hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose), anti caking agents: silicon dioxide, vegetable magnesium stearate. No wheat, yeast, soy and dairy products, not artificial preservatives, flavours or colours.

Adults: One or two vegetable Capsules daily, preferably at mealtime, or as directed by your healthcare professional. Do not exceed directions for use.

Keep out of reach of Children. People with peptic ulcers, liver disease, gouty arthritis or significant heart rhythm disturbances should take supplementary niacin only with the advice of a health care professional.
