What are Essential Fatty Acids (EFA's)?
Essential fatty acids (EFA's) are used in the body for a wide range of important functions. A deficiency of EFA's can result in Arthritis, dry flaking skin and certain nervous system and visual difficulties. As well as this it is used for its cholesterol lowering effect. There are indications that conditions such as arthritis, asthma, diabetes, PMS, allergies, inflammatory diseases, skin diseases, constipation and fluid retention have all been assisted by including oil high in EFA's in the diet.
EFA's are required by every cell in our body - as part of the structure of each cell and to regulate how it functions. This is why such a wide range of symptoms may be seen with an EFA deficiency. EFA's, like vitamins, must be obtained from our food or supplements because our body cannot manufacture them.

Each softgel contains: Efamol Rigel Evening Primrose Oil 1000mg, Total Omega-6 nutrients 755mg providing Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) 125mg, Vitamin E (dl-alpha tocopherol acetate) ) 10mg. Gelatin, glycerine Capsule. No corn, egg, gluten, milk derivatives, nuts, salt, soy, sugar, wheat, yeast, preservatives, flavourings or colours.
The recommended dosage is one or two softgels daily, with food. If taking this product for the first time, take four softgels daily with food for an initial 12 weeks to help "top up" deficient levels in the body.
