Manuka Mouthwash combines New Zealand mānuka and tanekaha with liquorice, aniseed, and peppermint in an alcohol water base. Mānuka and tanekaha are included for mouth and gum support, while peppermint and aniseed help freshen the breath and give the rinse a cleaner aftertaste.
Liquorice is a useful supporting ingredient in oral care because it helps soften the flavour and is also commonly used in throat and mouth products. This makes Manuka Mouthwash more than a minty rinse. It is built to freshen the mouth while also supporting gum and oral comfort.
What matters before buying is the flavour profile and the herbal style of the product. It is likely to feel more botanical than a standard supermarket mouthwash because the herbs are doing real work in the blend.
What herbs are in Manuka Mouthwash?
The mouthwash contains mānuka, tanekaha, liquorice, aniseed, and peppermint.
What is tanekaha used for in this mouthwash?
Tanekaha is a New Zealand herb traditionally used in a range of wellness products. Here it is included as part of the mouth and gum support blend.
