Now N-acetyl cysteine (NAC) is a stable form of the non-essential amino acid cysteine. It is a sulfur-containing amino acid that acts as a stabilizer for the formation of protein structures and promotes the formation of glutathione. Glutathione is a powerful free radical scavenging compound that also helps to maintain normal, balanced immune system function. In addition, NAC can help to support healthy brain and neuronal tissues.

NOW NAC 1000mg is a high-strength single-ingredient NAC product. NAC, or N-acetyl cysteine, is commonly used because it helps the body make glutathione, one of the body's major antioxidants.
Without extra minerals or herbs, the formula stays focused on NAC itself. That can be useful if you already know the dose you want or prefer to combine NAC with other products separately. NAC is also commonly used in respiratory support formulas, which is why many people recognise it beyond liver support.
What is NAC in NOW NAC 1000mg?
NAC stands for N-acetyl cysteine. It is an amino acid derivative used to support glutathione production.
Why choose 1000mg NAC?
A higher-strength tablet can suit people who want a larger dose in fewer tablets. It is mainly about dose convenience rather than a different kind of ingredient.
Does this product include other support nutrients?
No. This version keeps the formula simple and centres on NAC alone.
So essential for my respiratory system and to keep immunity high.
son seems to be doing well on this NAC
more energy less mood swings
Does the job. Have been buying this brand for a while now. Recommended
Compared with the Solgar product https://healthy.co.nz/products/n-acetyl-l-cysteine-nac the NOW NAC is weak and ineffective. I would question the accuracy of the stated quantity of effective NAC in this tablet. I guess if the recommended dose is 1000mg up to three times a day it is cant really be a true 1000mg. Although it does not seem to do any harm, I do not notice any beneficial effect either. Not worth the trouble.
