Zepter SkinOptim Marine Collagen is a ready-to-drink liquid collagen supplement that delivers 5,000mg of bioactive marine collagen peptides per vial, combined with Hyaluronic Acid, Vitamin C from Acerola, Vitamin E, Biotin, Niacin, Zinc, and Selenium.

In a pleasant dragon fruit and passion fruit flavour, each 25ml vial provides a comprehensive skin beauty formula in a liquid format that is absorbed more readily than capsules or tablets.

Clinically studied and developed by Zepter in Belgium, SkinOptim is designed to support skin elasticity, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and improve the quality of hair and nails from within. First noticeable results in skin elasticity and wrinkle depth are visible after 4 weeks of daily use, with more visible results after 8 weeks.

Benefits

5,000mg bioactive marine collagen peptides per vial - a clinically relevant dose of hydrolysed marine collagen peptides that stimulate fibroblasts - the skin cells responsible for collagen synthesis - to produce more collagen from within
Improves skin elasticity and firmness - bioactive collagen peptides directly support the dermis, helping to improve skin elasticity, support firmer skin texture, and reduce the visible depth of fine lines and wrinkles
Hyaluronic Acid for skin hydration - supports the skin's natural moisture retention, contributing to a plumper, smoother, and more hydrated complexion
Vitamin C from Acerola - Vitamin C is essential for normal collagen synthesis; the Acerola Cherry source provides a natural, high-bioavailability form of Vitamin C alongside the marine collagen
Vitamin E for antioxidant skin protection - protects skin cells from oxidative stress caused by UV radiation, pollution, and environmental ageing factors
Biotin and Niacin for hair, skin, and nail health - both B vitamins contribute to normal skin, hair, and nail health, complementing the collagen's structural benefits
Zinc and Selenium - Zinc supports normal skin health and tissue repair; Selenium provides antioxidant defence, together supporting the skin's natural resilience and renewal
Liquid format for superior absorption - liquid collagen is absorbed more readily than collagen in capsule or tablet form, allowing the bioactive peptides and accompanying nutrients to reach circulation more efficiently
Clinically studied - supported by a clinical study demonstrating improvements in skin elasticity and wrinkle depth; first results visible after 4 weeks, more pronounced results after 8 weeks of daily use
Convenient ready-to-drink vials - one 25ml vial per day, no mixing or preparation required; pleasant dragon fruit and passion fruit flavour
Made in Belgium by Zepter; 28 vials per pack providing a 28-day supply

More Information

Zepter SkinOptim Marine Collagen is built on a well-understood but often underestimated principle of skin ageing: after the age of 25, the body's natural collagen production declines by approximately 1% per year. This steady reduction - accelerated by UV exposure, environmental pollution, stress, and diet - leads to a gradual loss of collagen and elastic fibres in the dermis, the skin's central structural layer. The visible consequences are the familiar ones: looser skin, reduced firmness and elasticity, the development of fine lines and wrinkles, and an overall loss of the plumpness and resilience that characterises younger skin.

SkinOptim addresses this at a cellular level. The 5,000mg of bioactive marine collagen peptides per vial are hydrolysed - broken down into small peptide chains that can be absorbed efficiently in the gut and transported to the dermis, where they stimulate fibroblasts, the specialised skin cells responsible for collagen synthesis. Rather than simply providing structural collagen as a filler, the bioactive peptides essentially signal the skin's own collagen-producing machinery to become more active. This mechanism is what distinguishes bioactive collagen peptides from inert collagen protein and is the basis of the clinical research supporting this product - a study demonstrating measurable improvements in skin elasticity and reduced wrinkle depth with first visible results after 4 weeks and more pronounced results after 8 weeks of daily use.

The surrounding nutrient formula is equally considered. Vitamin C from Acerola is essential for normal collagen synthesis - without adequate Vitamin C, the body cannot form properly structured collagen regardless of peptide availability. Hyaluronic Acid supports the skin's natural moisture retention and the plumpness that comes with well-hydrated dermal tissue. Vitamin E provides antioxidant protection against the oxidative damage that accelerates skin ageing. Biotin and Niacin support normal skin, hair, and nail health from a B-vitamin perspective. Zinc and Selenium round out the formula with minerals that contribute to tissue repair, immune defence, and antioxidant protection at a cellular level.

The liquid vial format is an intentional and meaningful choice. Liquid collagen peptides and the accompanying nutrients are absorbed more readily than the same ingredients in capsule or tablet form, as the digestive step of breaking down a solid dosage form is bypassed. Each 25ml vial is ready to drink with no preparation, in a pleasant dragon fruit and passion fruit flavour. Each pack contains 28 vials - a 28-day supply. Made in Belgium by Zepter International.

FAQ

What are bioactive marine collagen peptides and how do they work?
Bioactive marine collagen peptides are hydrolysed collagen proteins derived from marine sources - typically fish skin or scales. The hydrolysis process breaks whole collagen protein down into small peptide chains that can be absorbed in the gut and transported to the dermis, where they stimulate fibroblasts - the skin cells responsible for collagen production - to increase their collagen synthesis activity. This is different from standard collagen protein, which is too large to be absorbed efficiently and does not have the same fibroblast-stimulating action.

Why is liquid collagen preferred over capsules or tablets?
Liquid collagen peptides and the accompanying nutrients are absorbed more readily than solid dosage forms because the digestive work of breaking down a capsule or tablet is bypassed. The bioactive peptides and vitamins in a liquid format reach circulation faster and with less loss during digestion, making the liquid vial format a more efficient delivery method for this category of ingredients.

How long does it take to see results?
The clinical study supporting SkinOptim demonstrated first noticeable improvements in skin elasticity and wrinkle depth after 4 weeks of daily use, with more visible results after 8 weeks of consistent daily supplementation. Collagen supplementation works cumulatively - consistency is essential and results build over time rather than appearing quickly from a single dose.

Why does SkinOptim include Vitamin C alongside collagen?
Vitamin C is a required cofactor for collagen synthesis - the body cannot form properly structured collagen without it. Including Vitamin C from Acerola alongside the marine collagen peptides ensures that the fibroblasts stimulated by the peptides have the nutritional support needed to actually produce collagen effectively. The Acerola Cherry source provides a natural, whole-food form of Vitamin C with good bioavailability.

Is marine collagen suitable for people with a fish allergy?
Marine collagen is derived from fish and may not be suitable for those with a known fish or seafood allergy. If you have a fish or seafood allergy, consult your healthcare professional before use.

What is the difference between marine collagen and bovine collagen?
Marine collagen is sourced from fish and is primarily Type I collagen - the type most abundant in skin, making it particularly relevant for skin health and beauty applications. Bovine collagen is sourced from cattle and typically provides both Type I and Type III collagen, with a broader application across skin, joints, and connective tissue. Marine collagen peptides are generally considered to be very efficiently absorbed due to their small peptide size.

How long does one pack last?
Each pack contains 28 x 25ml vials at one vial per day - providing a 28-day supply.
