Skin Food Nourishing Cleansing Balm uses sunflower seed oil, glycerin and isoamyl laurate as its main cleansing base, with betaine and the familiar Skin Food plant extracts of pansy, rosemary, chamomile and calendula. Oil-based balms work by dissolving makeup, sunscreen and excess sebum so they can be rinsed away more easily.

Glycerin and betaine help stop the skin from feeling stripped after cleansing, while the plant extracts support the comforting Skin Food feel. This is useful if you want your cleanser to remove makeup properly but still leave your skin soft. Cleansing balms are often chosen for dry or easily dehydrated skin because they clean thoroughly without relying on a foaming detergent wash.

What does Skin Food Nourishing Cleansing Balm contain?
It contains sunflower seed oil, glycerin, isoamyl laurate, betaine and botanical extracts including pansy, rosemary, chamomile and calendula.

How does Skin Food Nourishing Cleansing Balm remove makeup?
The oil-rich base helps break down makeup, sunscreen and daily grime so they lift off the skin more easily when you rinse.

Why are glycerin and betaine useful in a cleansing balm?
They help the skin feel less dry after washing. That matters because a cleanser can remove buildup without leaving your face feeling tight.
