Solgar® DLPA 500 mg (DL-Phenylalanine) vegetable capsules feature DLPA: a combination of the natural (L form) and mirror image (D form) of Phenylalanine. Amino acids are fundamental components of proteins that help activate numerous bodily processes. Some are deemed "essential" due to the body's inability to generate them, so they must be obtained through diet or supplements. Foods offering increased amino acid intake include meat, beans, cheese and eggs.

Solgar DLPA 500mg may support the creation of hormones like endorphins and enkephalins by blocking enkephalinase, and also promote adrenaline, noradrenaline and dopamine production, promoting positive energy and motivation. This formulation provides free form DLPA for enhanced absorption.

DL-Phenylalanine (Free Form) (providing D-Phenylalanine and L-Phenylalanine) - 500 mg

Other Ingredients: Vegetable Capsule Shell (hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose), Anti-caking Agents (Vegetable Magnesium Stearate, Silicon Dioxide), Bulking Agent (Hydroxypropyl cellulose)

Taken one to two vegetable capsules daily, preferably at meal times or as directed by a healthcare practitioner 

Keep out of reach of children. Caution. DL-Phenylalanine is contraindicated for people with phenylketonuria and during pregnancy or breast feeding. People with high blood pressure should take DLPA only after meals. Some people become overly excited or jittery after taking DLPA. However, ingestion on a full stomach seems to overcome this.
