Immunity is the capacity of an individual to resist attacks by infectious agents from the environment thus maintaining health and well-being. Optimal functioning of the human immune system depends upon a variety of complex defence mechanisms which are the key to protection against infection, aging and cellular destruction. In the body's tissues, patrolling macrophages (large scavenger cells) engulf foreign invaders and call upon powerful T-cells to join the fight. T-cells, emanating from the thymus gland, escalate the immune response and secrete chemicals which disable or destroy the virus.
Their activity also alerts B (Bone Marrow) cells which are able to produce anti-bodies custom designed to destroy invading organisms. These anti-bodies also enable the body to "remember" a particular invader, producing a quicker and stronger response should that virus strike again. Immunofort includes a formidable combination of antioxidants all with powerful free radical scavenging capabilities. These include Vitamins A, C and E together with Selenium and Beta-Carotene.

Keep out of the reach on children. Vitamins can only be of assistance if the dietary vitamin intake is inadequate. Warning - The recommended daily amount of Vitamin A from all sources is 2500IU. Taking more than 2500 IU during pregnancy may cause birth defects. This product contains selenium which is toxic in high doses. A daily dose of 100 mcg of Selenium from dietary supplements should not be exceeded. Selenium containing products are not suitable for use by children under the age of 15 years.
